About Mentholum Homeopathy Dilution

Also known as Menthol, Menyanthes

It is the portion of a natural essential oil of Mentha. Menthol has been a valuable remedy proved to be beneficial in inflammation in the nose, throat and Eustachian tube. It also falls in the sphere of mucous membrane of the nasopharynx and network of vessels in the spinal nerve producing pain.

Extremities - Treats muscular pain in the cervical region and soreness of the lower back muscles.

Head - As reported, it is used in the frontal headache, mental confusion, pain over the left eye descending to the eyeballs, cold sensation in the nose, Eustachian tubes feeling blocked and deafness, pain in the face with numbness and coryza with post-nasal dripping.

Respiratory - Signs such as tickling in the fauces, severe pain in the chest, asthmatic breathing with congestive headache, short, dry cough worse with smoking and soreness of the lower back muscles.

Mentholum as per Boeric Materia Medica

The stearopten from the essential oil of Mentha. Mucous membrane of naso-pharynx and spinal nerve plexus, producing neuritic pains and parethesias. Menthol has proved curative in acute nasal catarrh; in acute eustachian catarrh; pharyngitis; laryngitis; neuralgias, etc (Wm. B. Griggs, M. D). Itching, especially pruritus valvć.

Head -Frontal headache, pain over frontal sinus, descends to eyeballs. Mental confusion. Supra orbital pain over left eye. Pain in face above zygoma with numbness. Pain in eyeballs. Coryza with post-nasal dripping. Cold sensation in nose. Eustachian tubes feel blocked and some deafness.

Respiratory -Tickling in the fauces. Stabbing pains in the prćcordia, radiating over entire chest. Short, dry cough, worse smoking. Asthmatic breathing, with congestive headache.

Extremities -Muscular pain in cervical region, Soreness of lumbar muscles.

Dose -Sixth potency. Externally for itching, use 1 per cent solution or ointment.
