It is an Indian plant, found in wet, shady places in mountainous regions at the high altitudes. Western Himalayas, in Central and Southern Europe, Siberia and Pacific coast of America. It is a perennial herb having perpendicular, tapering roots. Stem is upright, round, smooth and slightly hairy above and grows upto the height of 2 meters. Leaves are alternate, long, petiolate, hairy, on the under-surface, palmately lobed, the lower more deeply than the upper. Flowers are dark voilet, appear from May to July.
It is covered by Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India. It is proved by Dr. Hahnemann.
Mother tincture is used in drop doses in collapse, restless, irregular beats, rheumatic fevers. Externally, it is used for pain.
1 drop of Q. 1x. Repeat under medical supervision. Externally, the Mother tincture is used.
